I came up with this piece during my senior year at Huntington University, I worked on this during my down-time when I wasn't working on "Refresh"

Extended Exposure
Nikon D3200
Method: i held really still on a 1.3 second exposure and moved the camera quickly past a light at the end of the exposure.
I am interested in exploring similar techniques maybe even using a delayed strobe.

Motion Track Test
Motion Track Test from Matthew Weener on Vimeo.
This is my first real motion tracking test I have done for my senior project. This was shot on a cell phone which was not ideal. When I get a real camera things will go much smoother.

Leg and Box
This is a photo I snapped on my decade old Sony cyber-shot and edited in Adobe Lightroom. I was hanging out with my friend Bryce when my other friend Cara started trying to get into small spaces. I saw the amazing composition and acted quickly to attain this stunning exposure. I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Black and White
Just learning some new photo editing skillz with my professor, Breadwig Ballinger. Done in photoshop, the goal here is to create a black and white where the lighter values have a yellowed hue and the darks a more purple hue as well as cutting a hole in the matte so the colors can show through. This was a great learning experience i can use in photography in the future.
This is a photograph I took myself and edited using an action i created in photoshop.
SPSP: Senior Project Sneak Peek
This is a sneak peek into my senior project. This is going to be the statue part of a fountain i am making and will be placing in a woods. I like the way the modeling is coming along, but it still needs improved texture and lighting, which will come in due time. As for now enjoy this tiny preview. :D

Fistacuffs
A valiant effort was made by Flatchu Mon against Tuna Jerk but I am sorry to say it ended in defeat. My character recieved a whopping zero votes. I have my suspicions it has something to do with the free spirited nature of my character...

Double page for an alphabet book: The Letter C
This is the final Piece. My professor had the idea to make the character in 3D, but I don't think I pulled it off very well. I need to revisit this.
This was my original version. (I liked this better). There was going to be another letter C on the left side of the page being chased by a cougar.

Reference footage gone wrong.
Made this video just for fun because Cara decided not to use it as reference for her stop motion class... I cannot imagine why not.

My Friend Fred: A Matt and Matt Production
This was just a simple test to see how hand drawn animation could be composited with live action. Line work and acting was done by Matt the Nelson.

First Music Video
Becker Bash: A Matt and Matt Production.
First music video. Creative juices started at a trickle from a simple suggestion and throughout the process, a geyser of energy and ideas proceeded forth, producing this little gem.
